Why trees, why now
Southern Nevada is losing canopy every year to heat, drought, and turf-to-gravel conversions. Every mature tree removed is years of shade, cooler pavement, and lower energy bills gone with it. LVAS exists to reverse that trend — block by block, HOA by HOA.
How it works
- 1A neighborhood forms a chapter — like The Las Vegas Country Club Estates did.
- 2LVAS provides the legal backbone, tree stock, irrigation guidance, and fundraising tools.
- 3Residents plant, maintain, and grow the canopy on their own streets.
“Our street didn’t have a single shade tree ten years ago. Now kids walk to school under real canopy.”
